John's Guide to Recorder Playing on the Internet |
|
The internet is becoming a great place to find all sorts of recorder related resources. You can find a couple of my favorite sites below. The Recorder Homepage
Compiled by Nicholas S. Lander the Recorder Homepage would have to be the most comprehensive resource for recorder related information in the internet. It currently includes links to videos, sound recordings, articles and more. The youtube recorder channel
The youtube recorder channel contains literally hundreds of videos of people playing the recorder, including the very good, the bad and the downright ugly.
JazzRecorder.com This page is close to my heart and still under development by Gianluca Barbaro in Italy. He also has a myspace page so if you are a member of the myspace social networking website you can add Gianluca to your friends network. His myspace page is www.myspace.com/gianlucabarbaro Recorder Radio.com
Recorder Radio.com plays a mix of recorder music through the ages. Everything from traditional baroque classics to dixieland swing.
Note: It is worth noting that the Recorder Homepage provides a much better account of what is available on the internet today in terms of recorder related resources. This page is just to get people started :)
